About us
I started Little Brown Fairy Cake just over 10 years ago, with no real clue where I was going! I was following in my mums’ amazing footsteps, who was also a cake decorator, baker and had handed me down her equipment. My mum made classically beautiful cakes, something which I admired and have discovered since it was something I just couldn’t do. Give me quirky all day long and I’m happy! I now specialize in 3D extreme cakes, a style that very few do, but I create cakes that are unique.
During the last 10 years the business has grown hugely, I now have a shop based in Westgate which not only has a display of my crazy cakes but sells cupcakes and other bakes daily and awesome coffee. We also sell a wide range of geeky gifts including a huge range of harry potter merch (I’m a huge fan!) I have also featured at cake international, with 3 huge cakes for different displays there including my version of the BFG.
I am multi award winning and have had several TV appearances including “Amazing Cakes and Bakes” on channel 5. I’ve made cakes for numerous events, birthdays and even the odd celebrity!

Cupcakes & Other 3D Cakes
We bake fresh cupcakes in a variety of flavours including, classic vanilla, chocolate fudge, lemon drizzle etc- they are available instore Tuesday to Saturday (see today’s menu) also on a click and collect basis.
We also sell Blondies, Brownies, Cinnamon Rolls, Bakewell Tarts, bread pudding and other bakes again available as click ad collector or instore.
Custom 3D Cakes
Carved and hand sculpted cakes are a speciality at Little Brown Fairy Cake. These cakes are again made to fulfil your dreams, utilizing your ideas and making them a reality. Cakes of this nature, are usually made in Madeira cake (in a variety of flavours) as its a stronger cake to hold the shape. These cakes are then hand-painted / airbrushed, and finished to a high standard.
I can make a variety of birthday cakes, from childrens novelty cakes to the more grown up versions (However I do not make cakes of a rude/explicit nature)
I make bespoke Wedding Cakes designed to your requirements. I provide a wedding consultation for all Wedding Cakes. At this appointment you will sample some of my cake and discuss your dream cake! I will make a sketch of your ideas, to create a cake that is unique to you!
